Art. 25 BayDSG
Processing for Research Purposes (on Art. 89 GDPR)
(1)Personal data collected or stored for the purposes of scientific or historical research may only be processed for these purposes.
(2)The personal data shall be anonymised as soon as the research purpose permits. Until then, the identifiers by which individual data on personal or factual circumstances can be attributed to a specific or identifiable person shall be stored separately. They may only be combined with the individual data insofar as the research purpose requires this.
(3)Bodies conducting scientific or historical research may publish personal data only where the data subject has given consent or where this is essential for the presentation of research findings on events of contemporary history.
(4)Art. 15, 16, 18 and 21 GDPR shall not apply insofar as the exercise of these rights is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of the scientific or historical research purposes and such restriction is necessary for the fulfilment of the research purposes.
