§ 17 SächsDSG
Official relationship
(1)The Saxon Data Protection Commissioner shall hold a public-law official relationship with the Free State of Saxony.
(2)The official relationship shall commence upon delivery of the certificate of appointment.
(3)1The Saxon Data Protection Commissioner shall receive official remuneration in the amount of the basic salary of pay grade B 5 pursuant to Annex 5 of the Saxon Remuneration Act of 6 July 2023 (SächsGVBl. p. 467, 476), as amended by Article 10 of the Act of 6 July 2023 (SächsGVBl. p. 467), as amended from time to time. 2In all other respects, the remuneration provisions applicable to civil servants of the Free State of Saxony shall apply accordingly.
(4)1The pension provisions applicable to civil servants on fixed-term appointments of the Free State of Saxony shall apply accordingly to the Saxon Data Protection Commissioner and his or her surviving dependants. 2In addition, the provisions applicable to civil servants of the Free State of Saxony regarding travel and relocation expenses, separation allowance, aid in cases of illness and material damage compensation outside of accident insurance, as well as other welfare benefits, shall apply accordingly. 3The same shall apply in matters relating to leave.
(5)1The State Office for Taxes and Finance shall be responsible for
