§ 36 BDSG

Right to object

(1)The right to object pursuant to Article 21 Subsection (1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 against a public body shall not apply insofar as there is an overriding public interest in the processing which outweighs the interests of the data subject, or a legal provision requires the processing.
