§ 8 BDSG

Establishment

(1)The Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Federal Commissioner) is an independent supreme federal authority.

(2)The permanent seat of the Federal Commissioner shall be in Bonn.

(3)The Federal Commissioner may establish branch offices at other locations.
