§ 17 TDDDG

End-User Directories

(1)Subscribers may be included with their telephone number, name, and address in printed or electronic end-user directories that are directly accessible to the public or accessible via directory enquiry services, insofar as they so request. Prior to their application, subscribers must be informed about further possibilities of use based on the search functions embedded in the electronic versions of the directories. Upon application, additional information such as profession and business sector may be included. In doing so, applicants may determine which information is to be published in the directories. At the request of the applicant, further users of the connection may be included with their surname and first name, insofar as they consent thereto. No charge may be levied for the entries under sentence 1.
(2)The provider of a number-based interpersonal telecommunications service must inform subscribers, upon the establishment of the contractual relationship, of the possibility of having their telephone number, name, first name, and address included in end-user directories under paragraph 1 sentence 1.
(3)The subscriber may at any time request from his or her provider of the number-based interpersonal telecommunications service that his or her telephone number, name, first name, and address be included, stored, corrected, or deleted free of charge in directory enquiry and directory media.
(4)Providers of directory enquiry and directory media are obliged to publish the data transmitted in accordance with Section 18(1) and to remove incorrect or deleted data from the directories and to make corrections.
