Appointment and term of office
(1)The state parliament shall elect the member of the supervisory authority without debate, with more than half of the statutory number of its members. Re-election shall only be permitted once. The parliamentary groups shall have the right to submit proposals. The President of the state parliament shall appoint the member of the supervisory authority as a civil servant on a fixed-term basis. The member of the supervisory authority must possess the qualification for judicial office, for the administrative service of career group 2, second entry level, or an equivalent qualification and must possess the qualifications, experience and expertise required for the performance of his or her tasks, in particular in the field of the protection of personal data.
(2)The term of office pursuant to Article 37(1) of the Constitution of the Land of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania shall be extended until the election of a successor, but by a maximum of six months. zur Einzelansicht § 16
