Tasks and powers
(1)The supervisory authority shall be the competent supervisory authority within the meaning of Article 51(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Article 41(1) of Directive (EU) 2016/680 in the Land of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It shall also be responsible for supervising compliance with data protection provisions where the data processing is subject neither to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 nor to Directive (EU) 2016/680, unless supervisory competence is excluded by specific provisions.
(2)The supervisory authority shall also be the supervisory authority pursuant to Section 40 of the Federal Data Protection Act for the data processing of non-public bodies in the Land of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
(3)The supervisory authority shall be responsible for the prosecution and sanctioning of administrative offences within the scope of the tasks assigned to it by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and by paragraph 2.
(4)The supervisory authority shall not be competent insofar as religious communities under public law that apply comprehensive data protection rules pursuant to Section 2(6) are subject to their own ecclesiastical supervisory authority that fulfils the conditions laid down in Chapter VI of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. zur Einzelansicht § 19
