§ 1 DSG LSA
Purpose of the Act
(1)This Act establishes supplementary and restrictive provisions for the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (OJ L 119, 4.5.2016, p. 1; L 314, 22.11.2016, p. 72; L 127, 23.5.2018, p. 2).
(2)In addition, this Act transposes in Sections 5, 6 and 9 Articles 32 to 34, 41 to 49 and 53 of Directive (EU) 2016/680 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by competent authorities for the purposes of the prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences or the execution of criminal penalties, and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Council Framework Decision 2008/977/JHA (OJ L 119, 4.5.2016, p. 89; L 127, 23.5.2018, p. 9). In all other respects, Directive (EU) 2016/680 is transposed in the Sachsen-Anhalt Data Protection Directive Implementation Act and in the respective specialist legislation.
(3)Furthermore, this Act establishes provisions for the processing of personal data that do not fall within the scope of application of Union law within the meaning of Article 2(2)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. zur Einzelansicht § 1
