Public awards and honours
(1)For the preparation of public awards and honours, the competent bodies may process the personal data required for that purpose, including special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, unless the competent body is aware that the data subject has objected to the public award or honour or to the data processing associated therewith. At the request of the body referred to in sentence 1, public bodies may transmit the necessary data. Processing of the personal data for other purposes shall only be permissible with the consent of the data subject; Section 7(2) shall not apply.
