Scope of application
(1)The provisions of this Section shall apply to the appointment, position and tasks of the data protection officer within the scope of application of Directive (EU) 2016/680 at public bodies that are competent for the prevention, investigation, detection, prosecution or sanctioning of criminal offences or administrative offences, or for the execution of criminal penalties, including the protection against and the prevention of threats to public safety, insofar as they process data for the purpose of performing such tasks.
(2)For the position of the data protection officer within the scope of application of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, Section 19(4), (5), sentence 2, and (6) shall apply mutatis mutandis. zur Einzelansicht § 17
