Collection from Third Parties
(1)Where personal data are collected from a third party or a body outside the public sector, that party shall, upon request, be informed of the purpose of the collection, insofar as this does not impair legitimate interests of the data subject. Where the data are collected on the basis of a legal provision requiring the provision of information, the obligation to provide information shall be indicated; in all other cases, the voluntary nature of the information shall be indicated. zur Einzelansicht § 4
