§ 1 BlnDSG
Purpose
(1)This Act, in Parts 1 and 2, provides both supplementary and derogating provisions for the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (OJ L 119, 4.5.2016, p. 1; L 314, 22.11.2016, p. 72; L 127, 23.5.2018, p. 2) as amended from time to time.
(2)Furthermore, in Parts 1 and 3 of this Act, the transposition of Directive (EU) 2016/680 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by competent authorities for the purposes of the prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences or the execution of criminal penalties, and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Council Framework Decision 2008/977/JHA (OJ L 119, 4.5.2016, p. 89; L 127, 23.5.2018, p. 9) is carried out.
(3)In Parts 1 and 4, this Act provides provisions for the processing of personal data that fall neither within the scope of application of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 nor of Directive (EU) 2016/680. zur Einzelansicht § 1
