Transitional Provisions
(1)Automated processing systems established before 6 May 2016 shall, in exceptional cases where this involves disproportionate effort, be brought into compliance with Section 62(1) and (2) no later than 6 May 2023.
(2)The Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in office at the time of entry into force of this Act shall be deemed to have been appointed pursuant to Section 9(1) sentence 1. Their status under civil service law shall remain unaffected. The term of office shall be deemed to have commenced on 28 January 2016 pursuant to Section 9(3) sentence 1.
