§ 15 HDSIG
Expert Opinions and Investigations, Activity Report
(1)The Landtag and the Land government may commission the Hessian Data Protection Commissioner with the preparation of expert opinions and the conduct of investigations on data protection matters and matters relating to freedom of access to information.
(2)The Landtag, the President of the Landtag and the representative bodies referred to in § 29 para. 3 may require the Hessian Data Protection Commissioner to investigate the reasons why requests for information were not answered or were not answered adequately.
(3)By 31 December of each year, the Hessian Data Protection Commissioner shall submit a report on the results of his or her activities to the Landtag and the Land government and shall propose improvements to data protection. The Hessian Data Protection Commissioner shall make this report available to the public, the European Commission and the European Data Protection Board. Interim reports for submission to the Landtag and the Land government shall be permissible.
(4)The Land government shall present its position on a report pursuant to para. 3 sentence 1 or 3, insofar as its subject matter is the processing of personal data by public bodies, to the Landtag. zur Einzelansicht § 15
