§ 8 HDSIG
Legal Position and Independence
(1)The Hessian Data Protection Commissioner shall be a supreme Land authority.
(2)The Hessian Data Protection Commissioner shall act in the exercise of his or her office independently and shall be subject only to the law. He or she shall neither seek nor take instructions in the performance of his or her tasks and in the exercise of his or her powers, and shall be free from direct or indirect external influence.
(3)The Hessian Data Protection Commissioner shall be subject to audit by the Hessian Court of Audit.
(4)The Hessian Data Protection Commissioner shall be entitled to attend the sessions of the Landtag and its committees in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Landtag and to comment on issues of significance for data protection. The Landtag and its committees may require the attendance of the Hessian Data Protection Commissioner. zur Einzelansicht § 8
